Still doing great

Hey all, I just want to let you know my skin looks great.
I feel blessed and fortunate.
I watch what I eat and drink but I still indulge. I promise I will tell you if any new changes come up but for now, I am declaring myself healed.

I hope this blog has helped at least one other person. It was scary to ignore my doctors and "heal like a hippy", but it worked and I am so happy.

I feel like some people have a better sense if smell, or are smarter, or better at math. I happen to have sensitive skin. My skin is my warning system that I need to eat something different. I see it as my blessing in disguise. I have learned so much about nutrition that I drive most folks nuts, but it has saved me.
Good luck to all of you.
M

    1. That's great to hear but does that mean no more monthly posts? Cause it'll be sad not knowing if your success is still continuing. Gives us hope.

For me I'm back on the P-Diet, it's a tough road. My daily diet consist of chicken/fish, vegetables (no nightshades) and shade. With the addition of lecithin, slippery elm, chamomile tea, probiotics and protein shakes (I'm a gym junkie). The food isn't bad but the problem I have is I've lost so much weight, all my gym work has gone out the door. Also I'm of Chinese heritage so not being able to eat chinese food is difficult. Do have a cheat meal once in a blue moon, this is just my mum cooking. I haven't touch junk food or alcohol in months!!!

Still no progress but I'm determined to get results.

    2. Hi Chuck,
I know exactly how you feel about needing hope. Going the Pagno/natural method flies in the face of what doctors are telling us to do. My doctors told me diets dont do anything for psoriasis. If you go the natural route you need confidence that it will work. So if it helps you for me to chime in every once in a while I certainly will. I am still going strong. My feet still look great and I have started doing 2 miles 3 times a week so they are taking a beating. ;)
I too lost about 10 lbs on the P diet but I gained it back ;).
What is wrong with Chinese food?
Look at the ingredients of your protein shakes. There may be some bad GMO chemicals in there.
How much gluten are you eating? How much sugar? Again, read the ingredients of the processed foods you are eating. Try to eat nothing but whole foods in order to stay away from unknown ingredients.

Do you use toiletries with "fragrance"? I tested positive for a fragrance allergy so I changed my laundry soap and lotions.
How are you "pooping"? If not everyday then you will need to fix that.

    3. Thanks for the reply Michele.
Actually chinese food is generally quite healthy but it does contain a lot rice, noodles, night shades and red meat which I guess I need to avoid. To be safe I rather stick to P-Diet as much as possible.
I also had my doubts about protein shakes as well but they're the only real protein I get now that I've cut down on eating meat. The ones I drink are all by products from milk, gluten/lactose free and contain amino acids. Only after a workout will I take a drink.

The only gluten I eat now is probably in my breakfast, toasted muesli and/or oat meal with prunes. I do try to find a breakfast cereal gluten free but it's not easy. I've cut out all sugar (beside fresh fruits) and processed food. Bowel movements are once a day.

    4. Keep going. Also, you might want to try some probiotics for a month or so.

    5. hehehe, already ahead of you. Been taking probiotics tablets for the last 2 weeks or so. Tried chlorophyll and bentonite clay when detoxing. Didn't see much results from the two. Was thinking of giving Mediclear a shot but it's not readily available down under.

  2. Hi, your story is great. Very well done to you. What do you think helped you the most? From what I read things really changed after the holistic treatments? From your point of view what part of the diet/treatments did you feel the most benefit from?

    1. Hi Gary,
I think that our Standard American Diet (SAD) has so much chemicals that we don't even know about. I think many of these chemicals are fine in low dosages, but they build up in our system. So I think we have to detox and be sure not to retox. Along the way we have to repair our gut - or at least give it a chance to heal itself.
I thought I ate well before all of this but things like canned soups, non organic produce (has lots of pesticides that you can not wash off), jarred tomato sauce, etc. I ate a lot of red sauce - I would eat it 3x a week. Night shade plus chemicals, started to add up.

Another thing to strongly consider is having a belief that you will get better. I used to think, if I cut my finger, I know that in a few days it will heal. Same thing with psoriasis. Once we remove the toxins that are causing it, it will heal. I used to look at pictures of beautiful feet thinking - mine will look like that in a few months. And now they do!
I will put out another post with a pic soon to help keep you guys strong!
      Best of luck!
